Dr Joseph Cardinale
is a native of New Jersey and a graduate of the Robert Wood Johnson
Medical School. He moved to New York City for residency at St Vincent’s
Hospital, followed by a fellowship at the Mount Sinai Hospital also in
Manhattan. Dr Cardinale is board certified in Anesthesiology and Pain
Management practicing in New York City and Long Island since 2007.
Dr. Cardinale focuses on interventional modalities, allowing patients to effectively manage their chronic pain and return to the activities that are most important to them. Among his interventional modalities are epidurals, medial branch blocks, facet injections, radiofrequency ablation, genicular nerve blocks, Botox for chronic migraine and spinal cord stimulation. These treatments often allow his patients to regain pre-injury levels of function and avoid the need for surgery.
Dr. Cardinale remains active in his specialty and is a member of multiple societies in Anesthesia and Pain Management, including the American Society of Anesthesiologists and the International Spine Intervention Society. He is fluent in Spanish and uses it frequently in the care of his Spanish speaking patients.
Dr. Cardinale is looking forward to joining OASD and serving the growing Southern Delaware Community. In his spare time, he enjoys running, traveling and spending time with family.
